Joe LaPorta

Joe began his career at The Lodge and over the past ten years has amassed an impressive discography for artists including the Foo Fighters, Vampire Weekend, Tiesto, The Killers, The Weeknd, Beach House, Garbage, The Postal Service, Imagine Dragons, Grizzly Bear, Kaiser Chiefs, Cold War Kids, Jimmy Cliff, Fall Out Boy, Tune-Yards, Neon Trees, The Raveonettes, Against Me!, Solange, Armin Van Buuren, Dirty Projectors, Neutral Milk Hotel, Twin Shadow, Youth Lagoon and many more.
In 1997, as high school senior, Joe began producing hip hop and electronic music and went on to work with artists including 50 Cent, GZA (of the Wu Tang Clan) and Talib Kweli. He and a partner then founded an independent record label that secured a distribution deal with Caroline/EMI. He also licensed his original compositions to major film and TV clients including Fox, MTV and Showtime.
This diverse background and knowledge of music has attracted a wide range of mastering clients from Billboard chart toppers to up-and-coming indie acts.
A graduate of NYU’s prestigious Music Technology program, Joe’s broad understanding of audio has also earned him a position as a consultant for one of the world’s leading forensic musicologists. He has analyzed cases for hundreds of artists ranging from The Beatles to Michael Jackson.
Joe currently lives in Westchester, NY with his wife and son.
Joe began his mastering career at The Lodge and over the past decade he has been perfecting his mastering skills on a wide range of projects including artists like the Foo Fighters, Vampire Weekend, Tiesto, The Killers, Beach House, Garbage, Imagine dragons, Jimmy Clff, Armin Van Buuren, Neutral Milk Hotel and many more. His overall expertise and diverse knowledge in music and production have provided him with the flexibility to master from either mixes or elaborate stem sessions in any genre of music.
